Elin Jones welcomes west Wales hauliers to Cardiff

Elin Jones MS welcomed Stephen Mansel Davies and Scott, owners of Mansel Davies Haulage and Storage company to the Senedd to promote road haulage as part of National Lorries Week.

The annual celebration of the haulage industry and its people, teams and organisations, showcases the vital role of the sector in ensuring we all get the goods we need, supporting our economy.

Mansel Davies is one of the main haulage companies that services Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen, and employs over 300 people across west Wales. It’s main base is in Pembrokeshire, and they also have a satellite Volvo centre in Temple Bar, Ceredigion.

Elin Jones MS said: “It was my pleasure to welcome Stephen and Scott to the Senedd. Lorry transport is so essential to the economy and wider society – transporting everything from agricultural produce, food, oil, NHS products, renewable energy products and more. We need to ensure a younger workforce is attracted into the sector, to future proof the industry and local employers such as Mansel Davies.”
